is why Community Partnerships & Associates was established.  CP is a non-profit community service agency that provides supportive services and resources to private, community, and human service agencies.

"Once a man was walking along a beach, when he came upon a part of the sand where thousands of starfish had washed ashore.  A little further down the beach he saw someone picking up the starfish one at a time and tossing them back into the ocean.  “There are thousands of starfish on the beach.  You can’t possibly make a difference.”  The woman looked at the man and stooped down to pick up one more starfish and toss it into the ocean.  She turned back to the man and said, “It made a difference to that one.”

The next day the woman returned to the beach and saw the same man and his children throwing starfish into the ocean.  He smiled and said, “We are here to make a difference to a few more.”
